Flag of New Zealand
The flag of New Zealand is a defaced Blue Ensign with the Union Flag in the canton, and four red stars with white borders to the right. The stars represent the constellation of Crux, the Southern Cross.
In addition to the national flag, has two national pavilions, one civilian and one military. They are virtually identical to the national flag, varying only the color of the cloth; red in the civil, with white stars, and white in the war, with red stars.

The Royal New Zealand Navy is the maritime arm of theNew Zealand Defence Force. The fleet currently consists of eleven ships and five naval helicopters.

New Zealand is located in the southwest Pacific Ocean, midway between the line of Ecuador and the South Pole and about 1,600 miles east of Australia.
The closest countries to the north are New Caledonia, Fiji and Tonga, which are approximately the same distance as Australia.
New Zealand is similar in size to Japan, Britain or Italy. It consists of two main islands.
